FAQs

What is the Reed in machine made carpet?

In carpet weaving machines and devices, there is a part called carpet “Reeds”, which is the number of knots that are woven in one meter of the width of the carpet.

For example, if we say that a carpet is 1500 Reeds, it means that there are 1500 knots in each meter of the width of the machine-woven carpet.

What is the density of carpet?

The number of knots in one meter of carpet length is called carpet density.

For example, carpets with a density of 2550 means that 2550 knots are woven in one meter of carpet length.

Common densities in the market are: 2550, 3000, 3600 and 4500 knots.

What is the standard size of the carpet?

According to the national standard No. 10753 of Iran National Standard Organization, the declared dimensions of the carpet are +2.5% and -1.5% for the length of the machine carpet and ±1.5% for the width.

In the case of circular carpets, the diameter tolerance limit is ±1.5%.

In acrylic carpets, dimensions: 1x1.5, 1.5x2.25, 2x3, 2.5x3.5, 3x4 are standard sizes, and in other fantasy products, 2.5x3.5 and 3x4 sizes may not be recognized as standard.

What is the difference between a 1,200 reeds and 1,500 reeds carpet?

In general, the higher the reeds and the density of the carpet, the less the thickness of the carpet, and instead it is much more beautiful and delicate in terms of beauty and elegance.

What is the difference between 1200 and 1500 reeds carpets in terms of reeds and density?

1,200 and 1,500 reeds carpets are produced with a density of 3,600 and 4,500, respectively.

The carpet reed is one of the factors that determine the price of a machine-made carpet. The higher the number of carpet reeds, the finer the carpet patterns.

And the increase in density in the carpet also causes high flexibility, strength and cohesion of the carpet knots.

What is the difference between 1200 and 1500 reeds carpets in terms of yarn and fibers used?

Due to the high density in 1500 reeds carpets, more narrow and delicate threads are used.

Therefore, the fineness of the threads in the 1500 reeds carpet makes it more soft and smooth than the 1200 reeds carpet.

What is the difference between 1200 and 1500 reeds carpets in terms of beauty?

1200 and 1500 reeds carpets are very similar in design and patterns, however, the designs of 1500 reeds carpets are a little more detailed and beautiful.

What is the difference between 1,200 and 1,500 reeds carpets in terms of price?

The price of machine-made carpets depends on factors such as the type of fibers, reeds, density, patterns and design, dimensions of the carpet and the machine that produces the carpet.

Apart from these things, the finer the carpet, the higher the price.

The 1500 reeds carpet has a higher density compared to the 1200 reeds carpet, that's why it has a higher price.

The price of 1200 reeds carpets is about 15 to 20% cheaper than 1500 reeds carpets.

What is the quality of carpet?

According to the raw materials used in the machine-made carpets, the material of each carpet can be acrylic or polypropylene (P.P) and a mixture of these two types, or new artificial silk (polyester) fibers.

It should be mentioned that 100% acrylic carpets have higher quality, durability and price.
